Director Of Group Living

Join a group of passionate advocates on our mission to improve the lives of youth! The Rite of Passage Team is hiring a Director of Group Living at The Oaks Academy in Brownwood, Texas.
The Oaks Academy is a secure post-adjudication facility located in Brownwood, Texas that provides comprehensive services to young men (13-17), using a trauma-informed, strength-based, gender responsive model. Through rigorous education, positive skill development, and individualized therapeutic interventions and treatment, we empower youth to reach their full potential. The facility features group, individual, and family therapy, on-site schooling, individual dorm rooms, and extracurricular opportunities for the young men. Pay: TBD depending on relevant education and experience

What you'll do: As the DGL, you will oversee residential services and living units and serve as the Program Director in his/her absence. You will be primarily responsible for managing all available resources in a manner that provides the students with the highest level of care and to ensure the Rite of Passage program is being implemented in accordance with ROP policies and procedures and Federal, State and Local licensing requirements. The Director of Group Living reports to the Program Director and supervises the Unit Managers and direct-care staff.
To be considered, you should: Be empathetic, patient, and treat others with respect. Have a BA/BS in a related field. Have 4 years of related experience in residential facility management. Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test.
