Marcom is the creatively-led global team that oversees Apple's consumer facing marketing. We ensure the flawless development and execution of world-class communications across all medias and platforms. We drive the strategy and creative work that provide both new and existing customers with simple, engaging and inspiring marketing experiences. The Interactive Experiences group is part of Apple Marcom and is responsible for envisioning and building, best-in class marketing and commerce designs systems supporting the launch of Apple products, software and services on its digital platforms — places like Apple.com, Apple Store App, Apple Store Online, and Digital In-Store. We partner with teams across the company to create, scale, and deliver outstanding experiences that brings the magic of Apple products to every touchpoint of the customer journey.
As a Designer you'll work under the guidance of creative leads, and in collaboration with other creative and technical disciplines to create considered and elegant design systems scaling from iOS to Web. This hands-on design role requires creativity, systematic design, great organizational and technical skills, and a passion for details. You will follow the work from concept through specification and delivery ensuring it adheres to Apple's standard of quality and bridge the gaps between design and engineering.
Responsibilities
Audit, stress test, and refine extended design systems for consistency, adaptability, and technical accuracy.
Present design rationale clearly, preparing work for reviews, and fostering constructive debate to improve systems.
Collaborate with creative leads and technical partners to align on direction and feasibility.
Prepare prototypes, pixel-perfect design files, and specifications for creative and development use.
Minimum Qualifications
At least 4 years of experience in product design, defining or extending design systems, UI design, for Web and/or iOS.
Sketch expertise, including ability to build technical symbols with flexible overrides that align with coded implementations.
Strong understanding of web development, including HTML and CSS.
A portfolio that showcases, systematic thinking and visual design talent for a range of digital experiences including web, mobile, and/or apps.
Preferred Qualifications
Highly skilled with design software, including Sketch and Photoshop.
Proficient with motion and prototyping.
Knowledge of web/iOS production and front-end engineering.
Strong communicator with the ability to articulate ideas with clarity and engage in healthy debate, and accept directional feedback.
Ability to thrive in a challenging, fast-paced, creative workplace and to deliver quality work at a high volume in a tight timeframe.
Experience building trust with multi-disciplinary partners on creative concepts and collaborating well with a team to find solutions to complex problems.
Great understanding of data science metrics and customer journey.
Proficiency drafting and/or consulting on documentation like production guidance and end-user instructions.
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $117,400 and $176,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.
