Description
ATB Therapeutics is a Biotech company developing a cutting‑edge technology to produce a new kind of targeted therapy designed to treat cancers and auto‑immune diseases. ATB Therapeutics has two Belgian R&D sites located in the Novalis Science Park (Marche-en‑Famenne) and the VIB incubator (Ghent).
The company closed a successful Series A financing round of Euro 54 million in November 2024, and is backed by leading European and US investors.
To support our growing team, we are looking for a Director Preclinical Development to join us in Ghent, helping us to align between product profile, preclinical data and clinical development objectives.
Your Role
As Director Preclinical Development, you will lead the design and execution of the nonclinical development strategy, including pharmacology, toxicology, biodistribution and translational activities. Reporting to the Chief Development Officer, you will oversee CROs, manage GLP and non‑GLP studies, integrate cross‑functional data and drive the nonclinical elements of IND and relevant parts of early IB submissions.
Requirements
For a successful fulfilment of this position, we are interested in candidates meeting the following requirements:
- PhD in Pharmacology, Toxicology, Immunology or related biomedical science.
- 10+ years’ experience in preclinical development of biologics or advanced modalities, with solid antibody and/or ADC development expertise.
- Strong understanding of GLP study design and regulatory requirements for IB/IND.
- Strong understanding of Bioanalytical guidelines and requirements related to PK/ADA assay development and validation.
- Experience managing CROs and complex study portfolios.
- Strong data integration and scientific communication skills.
- Proven ability to translate preclinical data into development and clinical strategy.
- Passionate about ATB Therapeutics' innovative platform technology and committed to driving its success.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
