They are seeking a Senior Controls Engineer to support controls system design, PLC programming, electrical design, and commissioning activities for custom industrial actuation systems.
Responsibilities:
Design and develop industrial control systems for electro-hydraulic actuator products
Program PLC systems from scratch through commissioning and production support
Create electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, control panel layouts, and BOMs
Perform electrical calculations and component selection for controls systems
Support troubleshooting, debugging, and factory acceptance testing of systems
Develop and modify PLC and HMI programs for product improvements
Work directly with customers to define project scope and technical requirements
Support new installations and field commissioning activities as needed
Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, production, and leadership teams
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Computer Engineering
5+ years Controls Engineering experience within industrial automation or equipment manufacturing
Experience programming PLCs from scratch (Allen Bradley preferred)
Experience with ladder logic and function block programming
Experience designing electrical control systems and panels
Ability to read and create electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to travel internationally up to 10%
Preferred Experience:
HMI programming
Siemens or Schneider PLC experience
AutoCAD or SolidWorks experience
Oil & Gas, Mining, Refining, or Industrial Process industry exposure
Structured text programming experience
Experience supporting hydraulic or motion control systems
