As a Studio Design Engineer, you will work with many team members to make the design vision a reality. Tasks include developing initial engineering concepts for a new design concept, guiding and integrating multiple engineering and manufacturing inputs into the A surface, and providing alternative proposals that reconcile functional requirements with thematic intent. You will also build a suitable physical model to communicate the concept.

Qualifications
Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Automotive Equivalent
3+ years of proven experience in complete vehicle layout/packaging, including Body and Trim
1+ years of experience in Catia V5 or 3DX
Additional Preferred Experience
Strong familiarity with legislative requirements affecting the Design Feasibility process
Demonstrated experience in leading and presenting to decision-making forums
Demonstrated understanding of feasibility tools and design studio feasibility progression
Strong understanding of production processes

This position is open to salary grades 7-8 and ranges from $86,600-$166,200. Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate’s skills and experience, and the base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.
