Unit Writer

Responsibilities

Collaborate with Field Supervision to document construction activities for billing purposes.

Compare, interpret, correct, and code job documents issued by customers and altered by field personnel.

Inventory and balance materials used against materials issued as per the customer's statement.

Ensure material usage is accurately reflected in billing documents.

Directly communicate with utility companies regarding billing questions related to billable units.

Send and respond to emails both internally and externally.

Read and interpret electric distribution construction prints.

Enter and/or delete necessary job package data.

Analyze as-built construction prints, photos, and job packages.

Recognize and input data missed by field crews on the as-built documents.

Utilize the customer's WMS program for additional data entry and analysis.

Travel to job sites to gather additional information needed to complete job packages ready for billing.

Ability to follow detailed procedures and analyze complex data

Previous powerline/utilities industry experience required

Working Conditions

Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.

Consists of sedentary work. Ability to lift up to 10 pounds.

Substantial movements of the hands, wrists, and/or fingers.

Required to have close visual acuity to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures or viewing a computer screen.
