What You’ll Be Doing
Business Development and On-going Relationship Management
Work to become a trusted advisor and strategic partner to middle‑market and large corporate clients, private equity firms, and family offices through regular contact and value‑added ideas.
Create and drive strategy to acquire, expand, and retain client relationships to generate revenue and deepen the share of wallet.
Identify product and service opportunities for other business units and participate in developing creative solutions to client needs, coordinating presentations, and bringing in partners when appropriate.
Manage risk and return and drive quality for new and existing clients, actively identifying and mitigating regulatory, reputational, operational, and credit risks.
Client Onboarding / Closing
Provide strategic support to Associates, Senior Associates, and Credit and Services teams to execute client requests efficiently.
Collaborate with deal teams on externally facing closing activities as needed.
Client Portfolio Maintenance
Guide Associates and Senior Associates in preparing internal portfolio monitoring reports (leveraged loan trend cards, shared national credits, criticized asset reports, etc.).
Respond to approval requests for overdrafts, manual wires, NSF wires, ACH suspensions, and related items.
Risk Management
Understand key parameters of the Bank’s risk appetite to provide insight as new credit opportunities arise.
Maintain regular dialogue with clients to assess changes in financial performance and coordinate with portfolio managers on risk rating adjustments.
How You’ll Succeed
Drive new business through quality leads from referral networks and regular prospect visits, identifying cross‑sell opportunities with new clients.
Maintain client relationship management systems for accurate pipeline forecasting and bolster market presence within community and industry associations.
Assist in structuring new deals to balance client expectations and bank requirements, acting as strategic advisor as needed.
Collaborate with portfolio managers to ensure top‑notch client service and maintain open communication throughout deal fulfillment.
Lead during credit events for new strategic relationships, providing guidance and assisting with deal negotiation and approval.
Who You Are
Minimum of 10 years experience as a Commercial Relationship Manager and 5 years as a Business Developer.
Bachelor’s degree or higher.
Formal credit training.
