This role combines medical news editing with feature reporting and writing, ensuring content is accurate, clear, and highly relevant for physician audiences. You'll collaborate with a fast-moving editorial team and report to the Executive Editor.Key Responsibilities:Assign and edit rheumatology/dermatology news articles for a physician audience.Pitch and write feature stories with fresh, creative angles.Collaborate with marketing teams to develop engaging newsletters and promotional content.Work with operations teams to ensure timely publication of content.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in English, biology, or a related field.5+ years of health content editing and writing experience.Extensive knowledge of rheumatology and dermatology.Experience assigning stories to freelancers and editing for accuracy, balance, and relevance.Ability to write deep-dive or investigative stories.Detail-oriented, deadline-focused, and reliable.Strong communication skills to translate medical jargon for a broader audience.Flexibility and creativity to thrive in a competitive multimedia news environment.
