Associate Director | Video Producer

As an Associate Director | Video Producer, you'll create high-quality long-form and short-form video content across digital platforms, social media, and weekend environments. This role brings stories to life through editing, animation, and thoughtful visual communication, helping shape how people experience Pillar both online and in person.
The role is ideal for someone who loves storytelling, thinks visually, and cares deeply about purpose-driven work.
Primary Responsibilities & Tasks

Video Production & Editing

Edit long-form content such as sermons, testimonies, and teaching videos
Create short-form content for Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and ads
Shape stories with strong pacing, emotion, and clarity
Maintain a consistent visual style aligned with Pillar brand
Motion & Visual Design

Create motion graphics and light animation (titles, lower thirds, on-screen text)
Support clarity and storytelling through strong typography and visual hierarchy
Elevate content with thoughtful, intentional design
Collaboration & Capture

Work closely with the Creative Team and Social Media Manager
Capture video during services, events, and ministry moments as needed
Prepare and organize assets for digital platforms and weekend services
What We're Looking For

Strong experience in video editing and storytelling
Proficiency in Premiere Pro, Final Cut, DaVinci Resolve, or similar
Motion graphics or animation experience (After Effects or equivalent)
Understanding of social-first content and platform pacing
Ability to collaborate, receive feedback, and grow
Have experience creating content for churches, nonprofits, or mission-driven brands
Understand how content can guide people toward next steps
Care deeply about excellence, clarity, and purpose

Your Team

This position will report to the Director of the Comms/Creative Team. This position has no current staff supervisory responsibilities.
Your Schedule

This is a full-time, salaried position. Weeks will consist of a 40-45 hour work week (up to 50-55 hours during certain seasons/projects). Throughout the year there are special monthly and quarterly staff obligations and attendance is mandatory, including monthly Staff Chapel.
An up-to-date portfolio showcasing your recent work is required for consideration. Note: applications without a portfolio will not be reviewed.
