Mission
The Proton Therapy Academy (PTA) is IBA’s global online and onsite training initiative, designed to help proton therapy centers excel in clinical practice, operational performance, and the adoption of innovative treatment modalities and solutions such as new indications, augmented offerings, and DynamicARC.

As Proton Therapy Academy Product Manager, you own the Academy as a customer-facing product end-to-end: from strategy definition to content development, stakeholder engagement, platform evolution, adoption, and continuous improvement.

Acting at the crossroads of education, clinical excellence, marketing, and product management, you ensure the Academy delivers meaningful value to multiple learner personas while supporting IBA’s strategic ambitions and contributing to high-quality proton therapy treatment delivery worldwide.

You will be part of the Proton Therapy Marketing team and collaborate closely with regional teams, product management, clinical experts, sales excellence teams, and external partners.

Overview of responsibilities

Own and continuously evolve the Proton Therapy Academy roadmap and long-term vision

Align educational priorities with learner needs, market evolution, and IBA strategic objectives

Identify content gaps, innovation opportunities, and new educational formats

Ensure the Academy remains scientifically relevant, impactful, and differentiated

Lead content strategy and educational excellence

Define and manage the Academy content roadmap across multiple learner personas including clinicians, physicists, researchers, and business stakeholders

Oversee a broad portfolio of educational formats:

Online learning modules

Advanced clinical and operational courses

Blended and onsite learning programs

Product-related training for Proteus and augmented offerings

Ensure scientific rigor, pedagogical consistency, editorial coherence, and practical applicability across all Academy content

Collaborate with contributors and key opinion leaders to create engaging and actionable learning experiences

Apply adult learning principles and support the development of:

E-learning modules

Blended learning journeys

Assessments and certification approaches

Build strong stakeholder relationships and partnerships

Develop and maintain trusted relationships with proton therapy centers, clinical experts, professional organizations, key opinion leaders, PTA network members, and internal subject matter experts

Coordinate contributions from internal and external stakeholders while ensuring alignment with Academy standards

Act as a key interface between clinical experts, business teams, marketing teams, and learners

Facilitate feedback loops to continuously improve the relevance and quality of the Academy offering

Coordinate projects and ensure execution excellence

Plan and coordinate content production, reviews, validations, and releases

Manage multiple projects and workstreams simultaneously while maintaining a high level of quality

Anticipate risks, remove bottlenecks, and ensure timely execution of commitments

Ensure training commitments are properly executed and delivered

Support Academy adoption and commercial impact

Promote Academy content internally and externally to increase engagement and visibility

Support customer onboarding and activation strategies with proton therapy centers

Collaborate with marketing teams to promote new learning paths and educational offerings

Use learner insights, engagement analytics, and feedback to continuously improve adoption and impact

Support commercial activities when:

Academy content is included in Proteus quotations

PTA offerings are proposed as standalone services

Contribute to the proton therapy ecosystem

Develop a strong understanding of proton therapy workflows, technologies, and ecosystem dynamics

Engage confidently with clinicians, researchers, medical physicists, and business stakeholders

Translate complex scientific or clinical topics into accessible and structured learning experiences

Ensure relevant internal topics such as patient acquisition, referral pathways, QA, dosimetry, clinical workflows, and product innovations are integrated into the Academy offering

What we value
You have:

A medical physicist background

Experience in educational content management, learning & development, scientific communication, product management, or similar roles

Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across diverse and senior audiences

The ability to quickly understand complex scientific or clinical topics

Excellent project management and prioritization capabilities

Experience working with digital learning environments and LMS platforms

A quality-driven mindset with strong attention to detail and a proactive approach

An international mindset and the ability to collaborate across cultures and functions

Experience in healthcare, medical devices, proton therapy, or a strong willingness and capability to learn rapidly

Willingness to travel 20% of your time, here are a few relevant examples:
