Stage Manager – Warner Bros. Discovery – Atlanta, GA.

Your Role
As an extension of the Show Director in the studio, the Stage Manager leads the Studio Production crew during call time. The position closely works with the Show Director, Show Producer, and Show Talent to execute the production plan. The Stage Manager proactively owns the room, relays direction, and controls the movement of people and equipment in the studio.

Live/Taped Production Responsibilities

Work with the Technical Director and Audio Engineer during technical fax to verify all studio monitors are working and routed correctly.

Attend pre‑production meetings led by the Show Director, ensuring all necessary crew are present and all special elements in the rundown are communicated.

Lead studio to align production and scenic crews with talent on creative initiatives and show rundown.

Collaborate with Talent Services to ensure on‑camera talent is on time, on set, and positioned appropriately.

Provide cues to talent to start/stop performance, address correct camera, verbally count talent in/out of commercial breaks, video playback, and live remote segments.

Keep talent and crew informed of show rundown progress and changes.

Collaborate with studio scenic team/stagehands to ensure all props are present and scenic changes/moves are executed timely.

After wrap, coordinate cameras bagging, studio cleanup, trash cleanup, and ensure crew sign in/out on daily crew sheet.

Collaboration & Communication Responsibilities

Ensure talent has necessary supplies, clean show mugs, and preferred beverages.

Work closely with Production Management and Technical Operations teams to plan special elements and segments for productions.

Qualifications & Experience

8–10 years of network‑level broadcast production experience as Stage Manager / Floor Director for live/taped studio or remote multi‑camera productions.

Knowledgeable of current industry standards and production cues.

In‑depth understanding of all production positions related to studio/remote production (camera, audio, lighting, scenic, makeup, etc.).

Excellent time management and ability to keep production crew on task.

Strong leadership and clear, concise communication skills.

Ownership and accountability for assigned projects.

Ability to handle pressures of live programming and limited time constraints.

Flexible to work non‑traditional hours, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Experience

Knowledge of new technologies available or on the horizon.
