The role: Founding Talent Lead
In the last few months, we've proven repeatedly to the market that Flint is the team to build the future of the internet. It's now time to invite a recruiting leader in-house to build out the Talent and People function from the ground up. Flint has invested in the People function from Day 0. Hiring, investing in, and growing our people is a critical pillar of startup success. We're looking for a high-octane, high-care person to scale our engineering and GTM functions while maintaining our founding team's talent density.
The candidate we're looking for does the following:
Own the end-to-end recruiting function: sourcing, recruiting, coordinating, closing
Build a world-class talent brand - we want everyone in the AI tech and marketing community to know Flint's reputation for talent density
Position Flint front and center in front of world-class talent
Get sky's-the-limit creative on top of funnel sourcing - events, videos, growth hacks
Strong bonus points for a strong social media presence
Directly influence the way Flint nurtures, hires, onboards, and cares for our talent
Partner directly with the founders and their strong networks
Lead by influence from the inside, mobilizing our team to leverage our career and college networks
Maintain, manage and report on candidate pipelines, incl. relentless outbound sourcing, referrals, and proactive talent mapping
Build the heart of our recruiting engine with scalable systems and processes over time
Report on key talent acquisition metrics (e.g., time-to-hire, source effectiveness, candidate quality, funnel conversion) to drive iteration and improvement
Basic qualifications:
You have 3+ years of recruiting experience, ideally with deep technical recruiting exposure.
You're experienced using Ashby as an applicant tracking system, running outbound sourcing sequences, and enriching leads
You're familiar with mainstays like LinkedIn Recruiter but also with AI sourcing tools like Juicebox and Gem and Happenstance
You're familiar with highly competitive talent acquisition (aka. hiring during "talent wars")
You've leaned into AI and automation in setting up hiring systems and processes
You're comfortable navigating ambiguity and iterating through processes
You're an excellent, strategic communicator:
High empathy - for an overall great candidate experience
Identification - great "talent sense" - able to identify potential
Closing - convincing without ever being disingenuous
Preferred qualifications:
You have experience in hiring AI talent
Active social media presence - you live on X and LI yourself
You are well connected / embedded in tech networks
You genuinely understand the massive market opportunity for Flint (every business has a website), and have maybe lived this experience
You are excited by the prospect of being personally responsible for hiring the team that defines a new category
You have prior experience in the People function beyond talent acquisition (total benefits, workplace, etc.)
