Program Supervisor, SP-SRO
Location: Riverhead, NY
Employment Type: Full-Time
Days/Hours: Tuesday – Saturday; 8am – 4pm
Program Supervisor is responsible for the overall supervision and management of supervised sites. The role promotes client growth, safety, and the effective delivery of rehabilitation services.
Assist with the supervision and coordination of all direct care services.
Supervise assigned staff, train new staff, and provide ongoing supervision and training to all program staff.
Ensure the site/residence complies with all regulatory guidelines regarding client care, safety, and service delivery.
Ensure proper documentation for all Medicaid billable services.
Maintain client charts, including service plans, reviews, functional assessments, discharge plans, and progress notes.
Close out client charts upon discharge and verify complete documentation.
Act as liaison with other service providers and community agencies such as fire and police departments.
Coordinate house, client, and staff schedules, including daily activities, staff work schedules, per diem staff, evening and weekend recreation, and house meetings.
Perform periodic staff evaluations and participate in hiring and dismissing staff.
Participate in regular supervision meetings with the coordinator.
Manage entitlements.
Participate in program development and agency‑wide administrative planning meetings such as CARF, staff development, and health and safety committees.
Maintain site vehicles.
Send and receive up‑to‑date physician authorizations.
Provide on‑call coverage.
Remain current with all agency‑required compliance documents and trainings.
Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related mental health field with at least 3 years of experience working in a similar setting or with people with mental illnesses. Excellent leadership and supervisory skills, strong verbal and written communication, and the ability to make sound judgments regarding client care are required.
