Assistant Colorist

The Assistant Colorist will be responsible for receiving and prepping jobs for the colorist, assisting as needed during jobs, and rendering and delivering final assets. They will receive training, mentorship and opportunity to eventually grow into a junior colorist role.

Eidocolor is a boutique color grading and finishing facility in New York City. Our work specializes in short form advertising but spans everything from that to indie features, episodic, and music videos. We are a trusted collaborator of some of the biggest brands and agencies in the world.

Responsibilities

Receiving and prepping projects

Coordinating with producers and editorial teams to resolve prep issues

Setting up and maintaining equipment and studio space for client sessions

Color grade extended shot handles, pickup shots, and implement other minor adjustments

Review final files for quality control purposes

Render and deliver projects to required specs

Track, manage, and organize hard drives

Manage digital project files from start to finish to archive

Generally support lead Colorist and staff as needed

Qualifications

Comfortable with tight deadlines and multi-tasking

Strong interest in developing skills and learning the field of color grading

Familiarity with the Davinci Resolve color grading system

Expertise with Adobe Premiere / Adobe suite strongly preferred

Pay based on experience. Salary range $50K-$65K. Benefits include health, vision, dental insurance. 401K w/ matching. Flexible PTO. This position is full time in office.
