Summary
We are looking for web engineers (Back-end and Full-stack) to join our team in Leuven! The ideal candidate will use their previous experience building Go backends to improve and build new features for our cloud-based products. Additionally, for the full-stack role, using React, they will be able to build user-friendly interfaces supporting our various customer use cases.
The person we are looking to hire is able to prioritize tasks and constantly strives to improve the code base. The right candidate is disciplined, independent, and takes pride in their work.

Responsibilities

  1. Develop and maintain a robust and scalable backend using Go.
  2. Develop and maintain a user-friendly frontend using React/TypeScript, providing our customers with convenient access to their data and actions. (Only for full-stack)
  3. Design and implement REST and/or gRPC APIs and integrate them with the frontend.
  4. Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to develop innovative solutions to complex problems.
  5. Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and best practices.
  6. Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure code reliability and maintainability.
  7. Work with the team to set up and improve our CI/CD pipelines.
  8. Continuously improve application performance and user experience.
  9. Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in web development.
  10. Support customers in using our web applications.

Profile

  • Proven track record building web applications.
  • Solid experience in backend development using Go.
  • Experience in frontend development using React, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS. (Only for full-stack)
  • Experience designing and developing REST/gRPC APIs.
  • Experience with databases, particularly PostgreSQL.
  • Knowledge of standard web development technologies (e.g., HTTP) and cloud security best practices.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Unix environments, scripting, Jenkins).
