SEO Strategist for a Digital Marketing Agency

Role Overview
Build, manage, optimize, and oversee the entire SEO ecosystem for medical websites to ensure proper structure, optimization, monitoring, expansion, and positioning for long‑term organic growth, local visibility, patient acquisition, and conversion performance. This role is not limited to basic SEO execution and involves ensuring SEO systems are strategically functioning operationally and are properly implemented by internal teams across all websites and campaigns.

Key Responsibilities

Creating and maintaining standardized Core 30 SEO structures across all websites.

Ensuring no website stagnates or falls behind competitively.

All keyword targeting and search intent alignment.

Ensuring live websites are actively maintained and properly optimized.

SEO technical health and tracking accuracy.

Ensuring websites support local SEO and Google Maps performance.

Guiding SEO content strategy and implementation.

Identifying SEO weaknesses and improving overall performance.

Required Skills
Core SEO Strategy & Execution

Strong understanding of end-to-end SEO strategy development (technical, on-page, off-page, and content SEO)

Expertise in building and maintaining standardized SEO frameworks or “SEO systems” across multiple websites

Deep knowledge of keyword research methodologies and search intent mapping (informational, navigational, transactional, commercial)

Technical SEO & Website Health

Solid experience in technical SEO audits and implementation

Ability to diagnose and resolve issues such as:

Crawlability and indexing problems

Site speed and Core Web Vitals

Structured data/schema markup

Broken links and redirect issues

Familiarity with SEO tools such as Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, SEMrush, or similar platforms

Analytics & Performance Tracking

Strong ability to monitor and interpret SEO performance metrics (traffic, rankings, CTR, impressions, conversions)

Experience ensuring tracking accuracy (GA4, GSC, Tag Manager setups)

Ability to identify trends, drops, and growth opportunities across multiple domains

Local SEO Expertise

Proven experience in Google Business Profile optimization

Understanding of local pack ranking factors and Google Maps visibility

Ability to implement location-based SEO strategies

Content & On-Page SEO Strategy

Experience guiding or building SEO content strategies aligned with search intent

Strong understanding of:

Content clustering / topic authority building

Internal linking strategies

On-page optimization (titles, meta descriptions, headers, UX signals)

Competitive & Strategic Thinking

Ability to perform SEO competitor analysis and gap identification

Strong sense of continuous improvement and proactive optimization

Capable of identifying underperforming pages and implementing recovery strategies

Required Experience

3–6+ years of hands‑on SEO experience (agency or multi‑website management strongly preferred)

Proven track record managing multiple websites or SEO campaigns simultaneously

Experience working in fast‑paced, performance‑driven environments (agency or digital marketing setup ideal)

Demonstrated success in:

Improving organic rankings and traffic growth

Fixing technical SEO issues at scale

Scaling SEO frameworks across multiple domains or clients

Nice‑to‑Have

Experience with programmatic SEO or large‑scale site optimization

Familiarity with HTML/CSS basics (for SEO implementation coordination)

Experience collaborating with developers, content teams, and designers in cross‑functional setups

Knowledge of AI‑assisted SEO tools or automation workflows
