Senior Reporter - PERE Deals

About The Role

The reporter’s primary responsibility is to produce a senior level of news articles about the investments happening in the institutional private real estate sector, providing the subscriber with coverage of the most relevant selection in the region. The senior reporter will aim to break exclusive news on the top private real estate deals while maintaining a strong level of on-diary deal reporting. The reporter will aim to become a recognizable authority on private real estate investment, contributing regularly also to commentary and analysis on the matter.
Produce a regular cadence of private real estate transaction news stories per week.
Break exclusive transaction news.
Maintain strong reporting on on-diary transaction news.
Where required, edit direct news reporting of colleagues within the team.
Where required, write commentary and longer form analysis content.
Develop network of private real estate investment executives and advisors.
Conduct regular interview with relevant private real estate investment executives and advisors.
Contribute actively to the PERE Deals transaction data collection and structured information creation process.
Establish and communicate major trends in private real estate investment to the wider Real Estate Group on the weekly editorial call.
Work closely with research departments from organizations providing real estate investment research to provide analysis of transaction trends from external data.
Work closely with PERE Deals Research & Analytics team to provide analysis of private real estate transaction trends from proprietary data.
Optimize content based on metrics to ensure content is relevant to our audience and is being produced to deliver performance
Translate the well-established mission of the brand to the region of coverage.
Contribute to ensuring PERE Deals website has fresh content at all times.
Where appropriate, collaborate with PERE Deals and other Real Estate Group colleagues on editorial assignments.
Adhere to PERE Deals and PEI editorial codes of conducts and best practices at all times.
Where appropriate, provide commentary on private real estate investment, both written and digital.
Participate in industry events, including speaking on panels.
About You

Requirements

3+ years of experience in business or financial reporting
Experience covering private real estate or related financial fields a plus
Computer proficiency, such as using the Microsoft Office Suite, online search tools, databases, WordPress, plus specialized tools to monitor website performance and SEO optimization
Strong communication skills that manifest in quality reporting
Ability to meet fast and frequent deadlines
Excellent observation and judgment skills to extract and develop compelling stories
Familiarity with financial markets and investing, especially private real estate
Familiarity with social media platforms, such as LinkedIn
