Pay Range: $75 - $78 per hour on W2
Job Summary: This role is for an experienced Senior Technical Writer focused on creating and maintaining critical hardware documentation for complex medical devices. You will independently produce accurate, high-quality field service documents, ensuring consistency and compliance with industry standards and company guidelines. The position requires on-campus presence for collaboration and hands-on work in lab environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, write, edit, and maintain Field Service documentation for medical device systems.
Manage documentation control processes, including JIRA tracking and change order records.
Collaborate with project teams to share knowledge, adhere to policies, and implement best practices.
Resolve complex technical documentation issues creatively and effectively.
Evaluate and develop documentation processes, aids, and contribute to style guide development.
Must Have Skills:
Minimum 5 years of technical writing experience.
Proven expertise in DITA XML authoring tools (e.g., Oxygen XML Editor) with a focus on minimalist hardware topics.
Demonstrated ability to write clear, concise, and accurate documentation for moderate-to-complex hardware products.
Domain Experience: Medical Devices preferred.
