Job Overview
WKOW-TV, the ABC affiliate in beautiful Madison, WI, has an opening for a bright, motivated news anchor who also loves to report.
In this role, you would anchor and produce our statewide, weekend evening newscasts and report as a multimedia journalist three days a week.
We are looking for a competitive journalist who focuses on breaking news and live elements. You should have strong anchoring, reporting, producing, writing, and editing skills, as well as the ability to deliver clear live reports on the desk and in the field.
Everyone on our team produces content not only for television but also for our digital, mobile, and social platforms.
Responsibilities
Anchor and produce statewide weekend evening newscasts.
Report as a multimedia journalist three days a week.
Deliver clear live reports on the desk and in the field.
Produce content for television, digital, mobile, and social platforms.
Qualifications
Degree in journalism or a related multimedia field.
At least one year of broadcast experience.
Strong anchoring, reporting, producing, writing, and editing skills.
Ability to deliver clear live reports on the desk and in the field.
