General Definition:The Program Seller obtains or receives racing products, totals bill, accepts payment, and makes change for customers by performing the following duties.Essential Job Functions:Verifies inventory and cash bank prior to start of shiftAccurately completes sales transactions in accordance with company policies and procedures in a friendly, professional manner.Follows financial responsibility procedures.Greets customers upon entry to simulcast facility, grandstand, or any other designated area where customer’s entry or patronage is required in a friendly, professional manner.Balances cash and inventory at the end of shift with the assistance of the Retail Sales Supervisor.Approaches all encounters with guest and employees in a friendly and service-oriented manner.Dependability, good attendance, and occasional overtime required.May be required to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as scheduled.Have the ability to accomplish a multitude of duties as assignedPerforms other related duties as may be assigned by reporting senior.Education:High School Diploma or GEDKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:Requires excellent communication skills, basic math and reasoning ability under extreme public scrutiny.Strong cash handling experience requiredDetail-oriented and able to perform multiple tasks as assigned.Excellent customer service and cash handling skills required.Must be able to communicate fluently in English and to follow instructions as given.Bilingual a plus.Data entry skills a plus.Training:Six (6) month related experience and/or training; or combination.Licenses/Certifications/Other:Must be able to pass a background check and receive a license or permit from any Regulatory Agency if applicable to perform the essential job functionsPhysical Requirements:The physical demands and work environment characteristics described are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
