Description

Perform comprehensive

VNG testing , including oculomotor evaluation, positional and positioning testing, and caloric testing.

Conduct additional vestibular assessments as indicated (e.g., vHIT, VEMP, rotary chair) based on departmental resources.

Accurately analyze, interpret, and document vestibular test findings.

Identify findings consistent with peripheral vs. central vestibular pathology and promptly communicate urgent or atypical results to the referring provider.

Interdisciplinary Collaboration

Work closely with Otolaryngology, Neurology, and Vestibular Physical Therapy.

Coordinate care and testing results with surgeons, physicians, and advanced practice providers.

Participate in interdisciplinary discussions when needed to support diagnostic and surgical decision‑making.

Patient Care & Education

Prepare patients for vestibular testing, explaining procedures clearly and addressing concerns.

Monitor patient tolerance throughout testing and ensure safety, comfort, and infection‑control standards.

Provide post‑test instructions and general education as appropriate.

Documentation & Compliance

Complete timely and accurate documentation in the electronic medical record.

Maintain compliance with hospital policies, Department of Surgery standards, and regulatory requirements.

Ensure vestibular equipment is functioning properly and report issues per departmental protocol.

Required Qualifications

Doctor of Audiology (AuD) from an accredited institution.

Current state licensure as an Audiologist.

Demonstrated competency in VNG testing and interpretation.

Experience working in a hospital‑based or specialty clinic environment preferred.

Strong communication, organizational, and clinical reasoning skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience supporting ENT or surgical specialty practices.

Familiarity with vestibular rehabilitation workflows.

Experience with complex vestibular and neurologic presentations.

Comfort working in a fast‑paced, multidisciplinary surgical setting.

Physical Requirements

Ability to assist with patient positioning during vestibular testing.

Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.

Visual and auditory acuity sufficient to perform diagnostic testing and documentation.

Work Schedule

Hours vary based on clinic demand, provider availability, and departmental needs.
