Job Title

This position works within the Public Information/Media Office and with various TCSO divisions, including Detention and Operations, the community and other law enforcement agencies to create/develop departmental videos, photos and Public Service Announcements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Performs duties for Photographer for Sheriff's Office and law enforcement related events.
Creates/develops departmental videos, Public Information Announcements, photos and graphics to be used externally.
Creates/develops departmental informational and training videos.
Maintains video and photo archives for Sheriff's Office Public Information/Media Office.
Maintains video and photography equipment for the Public Information Office.
Assists other Public Information Office Media and Community Team with preparation and dissemination of information.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements

Associate degree or equivalent. Two (2) full time years of related work experience in Photography, Web Design, Videography, Media Editing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or related field. Must possess a valid Texas driver license within thirty (30) days of hire. Must possess strong written and verbal communications skills. Must have a strong understanding of photography, video, audio, social media, and web-based development skills. Knowledge of law enforcement or experience preferred.
Physical Demands and Work Environment & Other Requirements

While performing the duties of this position, the incumbent is regularly required to sit, walk, climb, stoop, lift, push and pull.
