As a Communications Intern, you’ll be at the heart of our transformation journey. You’ll be part of the Global Internal Communications team and will be supporting employee engagement across our Rotterdam HQ and beyond, working on our corporate brand, while interacting with all our iconic brands. This is your opportunity to help shape how we communicate during a time of exciting change, while building your skills in storytelling, stakeholder and project management, and community building.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Build your understanding of Internal Communications
by supporting communication efforts during a period of impactful organizational change.
Project and stakeholder management
by assisting in the planning and execution of internal and external activities and events, engaging with cross‑functional teams and many different stakeholder profiles.
Strengthen our community
by contributing to initiatives that connect and inspire colleagues across our Rotterdam office. You will be in charge of our local channels, focused on narrowcasting and VivaEngage.
Create communication assets for internal campaigns and activations that reflect our evolving brand identity. This covers written texts and design/editing in Canva.
Contribute to building our corporate brand by creating content for
Unilever's
social media platforms , helping to shape our voice and identity towards the outside world.
You’re the perfect fit if:
You’re available for 5 to 6 months starting August‑September 2026 (minimum 32 hours/week).
You are enrolled (3rd or 4th year) in a Bachelor or Master’s – e.g. communications, political science, or sustainability.
You have a demonstrated interest in business and sustainability, i.e. through study, additional classes around specific sustainability themes, extra activities.
Fluent in English; both oral and written.
You are eager and excited to learn.
You excel in communication.
You are proactive.
