KTVB-TV, the NBC TEGNA affiliate, is seeking an experienced multi‑skilled journalist to maintain our tradition of superior reporting and newsgathering. The role requires a current driver’s license and the ability to operate a news‑gathering vehicle.
Responsibilities

Perform authoritative, compelling live shots in developing or breaking news situations.
Develop story ideas and mine the community for sources.
Identify, write, and produce stories within a specific framework.
Research facts and maintain credibility.
Develop and maintain sources to enhance reporting.
Shoot, write, produce, and edit on‑air and online content within deadlines.
Use creative production techniques such as graphics and new media to enhance stories.
Use social media and digital tools to research, discover, and distribute content.
Attend editorial meetings and offer story ideas daily.
Write in an exciting, captivating, and authentic manner.
Requirements

1–3 years of reporting experience preferred.
Must possess solid news judgment, strong communication skills, creativity, and ethical decision‑making.
Strong writing, production, and teaser writing abilities.
Experience with ENPS, EDIUS, and Axis graphics preferred.
Must be organized and able to work under constant deadlines.
Must handle live breaking news situations calmly.
Proven social and digital content creation ability.
Knowledge of Boise is a plus.
