NaphCare has an excellent opportunity for a

Craft CMS Web Designer

to join our corporate office in Birmingham, AL. This is an

on-site position .

The

Web Designer

builds and maintains websites using the Craft CMS platform, translating designs into responsive and functional sites.

Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include and may not be limited to:

Build custom templates and front‑end experiences using HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Twig templating language

Develop and customize back‑end development with PHP

Installing and configuring plugins, performing updates, and ensuring site security and performance

Manage code repository

Craft CMS updates

Website plugin management

Manage production site

Manage live site

Maintain/update the website's accessibility features

Update current pages as needed

Ability to build new modules and update existing modules

Create new pages

Create new landing pages

Provide guidance on website design best practices including

UX

Maintain an acceptable site speed

Mobile responsiveness

Technical SEO

Maintain site security

Manage hosting and domains

Integrate and customize Google APIs, social media channels, etc.

Qualifications

Must have strong skills in web design, from page concept (wireframes) through development and testing.

Experience with measuring page/site performance to implement UX and SEO improvements.

Experience in the Craft CMS platform including installation, configuration, and upgrades is a must. WordPress experience is a plus.

Expertise using Git for version control.

Basic knowledge of databases is required.

Understanding of content modeling and how it translates to CMS implementations is valuable.

Must effectively communicate with employees and other departments.

Excellent organization, time‑management skills, and ability to handle multiple tasks.

Must maintain confidentiality of proprietary and confidential information and comply with all corporate policies, procedures, and legal requirements.

Prepared to provide 3–5 webpage examples developed in Craft CMS.

Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.

Office‑based.

Ability to manage workload and deadlines.

Long periods of sitting at a desk, light physical work including working at a computer terminal.

Light physical work involving lifting and carrying.

Talking and listening to communicate ideas or requirements to staff.

Visual acuity to listen attentively and accurately.

Ability to work overtime as needed to meet responsibilities.
