Job Description
Teledyne Benthos, located in North Falmouth, MA, is a member of a group of leading‑edge undersea technology companies that have been assembled under the Teledyne Marine umbrella. Teledyne Benthos manufactures a range of acoustic subsea modems, positioning systems, and releases for customers around the globe.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Deliver Benthos service and support, including answering technical inquiries from customers via website, email, text, phone, etc.

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair complex oceanographic equipment.

Document all repair activities accurately and write clear and concise repair reports for customers.

Travel to customer sites for testing and service as required; position may include domestic and international travel and requires obtaining a U.S. passport.

Because of facility restrictions, successful applicants must be a "US Person" (U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, asylee, or refugee).

Education and Experience

5+ years of experience in a repair, technical support, or military technical training environment.

Associate's Degree or higher in mechanical or electrical engineering preferred, or a combination of experience and education.

Technical background with proven software, electrical, and electro‑mechanical skills.

Advanced troubleshooting and problem‑solving techniques.

Excellent communicators, verbal and written, with strong interpersonal skills.

Computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications

Candidate must possess, or be able to obtain, a U.S. security clearance.

Previous experience using Salesforce or another customer‑relationship‑management (CRM) tool.

Experience working closely with customers in sales, customer service, or technical capacity.

Ability to work as part of an extended team to identify, repair, and report on all isolated equipment failures.

Physical and Mental Demands

Ability to handle and move equipment up to 50 lbs.

Ability to work on oceanographic vessels and small boats (ladders, tight spaces).

Ability to work in the field in adverse weather and working conditions.

Occasional work at non‑standard work hours.

Position requires prolonged periods of standing and sitting in a repair lab setting.

Salary Range
$44,500.00 - $59,300.00
