Responsibilities

Develop and execute international theatrical PR strategies across LatAm, ANZ, and APAC markets, ensuring campaigns are tailored to local media landscapes, cultural nuances, and audiences while maintaining alignment with global campaign vision

Manage and provide strategic oversight of international PR schedules including embargo timelines, asset launch cadences, review strategies, and market-specific rollout plans for each title on the theatrical slate

Adapt global messaging and positioning for local market relevance

Develop market-specific press strategies that leverage each territory's unique media ecosystem — including traditional media and social editorial voices

Monitor and analyze evolving media landscapes across all territories, identifying emerging outlets, shifting consumption patterns, and new platforms that present opportunities for campaign reach and differentiation

Track campaign performance across territories, reporting on coverage quality, volume, sentiment, and identifying opportunities to optimize strategy in real time

Manage international festival PR strategy for titles premiering at international festivals in concert with territory leads

Identify, track and capitalize on cultural tentpoles, national holidays, and market-specific moments that create organic opportunities for campaign visibility in each territory

Manage end-to-end planning and execution of international press activity (PA tours) across LatAm, ANZ, and APAC markets — including schedule development, logistics coordination, market prioritization, and day‑of execution oversight

Oversee in‑market activations, press events, and promotional appearances ensuring quality, messaging consistency, and brand standards are maintained across all territories

Coordinate with international marketing, distribution, and events teams to ensure PR activations are integrated with broader market campaigns and theatrical release strategies

Serve as primary liaison with talent representatives (agents, managers, publicists) regarding international PR strategy — communicating market opportunities, schedule requirements, and priority asks

Develop and present international press tour proposals to executive and talent teams

Create talent and filmmaker briefs on market‑specific cultural context, key press relationships, and strategic priorities ahead of international engagements

Serve as the primary communication bridge between hub office PR leadership and local market PR teams (both internal and agency) ensuring campaign priorities, messaging, and strategic direction are clear

Translate hub office campaign vision into actionable briefings for local market teams, providing context, priorities, and creative latitude appropriate to each territory

Ensure local market teams have all necessary assets, messaging documents, talking points, and approvals with sufficient lead time to execute effectively

Facilitate regular communication between hub office and markets through structured check‑ins, written updates, and responsive day‑to‑day coordination

Develop and manage international critics strategy for each title — identifying priority critics and outlets in each territory, timing review access for maximum impact, and managing embargo compliance across markets

Manage asset embargo timelines across territories ensuring trailer launches, still drops, clip releases, and exclusive content are coordinated globally without market conflicts

Develop PR strategies that encompass both traditional media and digital/social editorial platforms

Stay ahead of evolving digital media landscapes across territories, briefing hub office leadership on new platforms, shifting audience behaviors, and emerging opportunities

Brief agencies thoroughly on each campaign's strategy, messaging, target audiences, and success metrics — providing all context needed for effective local execution and track progress, address challenges, and ensure deliverables are on schedule

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, or a related field

5+ years of experience in international PR, entertainment publicity, or global communications within a studio, entertainment company, media organization, or PR agency with international scope

Demonstrated experience working across LatAm, ANZ, and/or APAC markets with proven understanding of local media landscapes, press ecosystems, and cultural nuances

Experience managing press tours, junkets, festival publicity, or multi‑market campaign execution

Strong existing relationships with international entertainment press across target territories

Experience working with talent representatives (agents, managers, publicists) in an international publicity context

Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent campaigns across different markets with competing timelines

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to develop clear, compelling briefing documents, messaging guides, and strategy presentations

Experience managing agency or vendor relationships with clear objective‑setting and performance accountability

Proficiency with standard business and project management tools (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Asana, Airtable, or similar)

Preferred Qualifications

Professional proficiency in one or more languages relevant to LatAm or APAC

Direct experience with international festival PR (e.g., Venice, Cannes, Toronto, Berlin, Camerimage)

Demonstrated understanding of digital and social editorial landscapes in LatAm, APAC, and ANZ markets

Experience working within a matrixed global organization coordinating across multiple regions, time zones, and functional teams simultaneously

Knowledge of AI tools and media monitoring platforms for tracking international coverage and measuring campaign effectiveness

Existing relationships with talent management agencies and publicists with international practices

Comfort working in ambiguous, fast‑moving environments where priorities shift, territories have competing needs, and flexibility is essential

Passion for film, pop culture and genuine interest in global cinema culture

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
