Job Description
USA Sports is hiring a Part‑Time Freelance Social Media Producer/Editor focusing specifically on NASCAR who will be a part of our growing team of digital content experts on the Sports digital team. This project‑based, limited‑term position will last up to 12 months unless otherwise amended or terminated as deliverables within this project are completed.

Role Summary
This role includes day‑to‑day content planning, strategy and distribution for NASCAR on USA’s social platforms. The ideal candidate has a deep knowledge of social media and user behavior and a strong track record in content strategy, social platform expertise, creativity and attention to detail. Experience in branded content is a plus.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the day‑to‑day content management and coverage of the NASCAR on USA social channels

Clip segments from live sporting events and studio shows in real time

Work with digital video producers daily to identify key content to be distributed on social media

Maintain voice and content standards across multiple platforms and brands

Work with USA Sport’s video and editorial teams to create highly sharable content

Share performance‑based feedback on social media posts to drive strategy changes alongside the Social Media Director and team members

Identify opportunities for increased engagement, video views, and follower growth with the Social Media Director

Support branded content efforts by helping with the ideation and execution of social sales campaigns

Engage in cross‑functional planning and event management with marketing, sales, production and digital teams

Work directly with talent and production teams to support in‑studio and on‑site content creation

Pitch content ideas that will help build video views and audience during team brainstorms

Juggle multiple projects with parallel timelines

Basic Qualifications

BA or BS from a four‑year accredited college or university or equivalent experience in Marketing, Communications, Business, Digital Media, or a related field

Minimum of 3 years of experience producing and distributing content end‑to‑end for digital and social media platforms

Experience and proficiency in all social platforms (Instagram, TikTok, X and Facebook)

Experience with a variety of social and project management tools (Sprout Social, Airtable, Monday.com, etc.)

Able to track and leverage KPIs while understanding the rapidly changing social media landscape

Skilled with the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere, After Effects)

Extensive knowledge of sports and internet culture

Strong copy editing skills, ability to self‑edit your own work

Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines

Creative thinker who can look at digital trends and find innovative ways to tell a story in a piece of content

Eligibility Requirements

Desired Characteristics

Demonstrated knowledge of NASCAR

Familiarity with live‑video clipping platforms such as Wildmoka or WSC (plus)

Ability to shoot and edit content as needed (plus)

Strong understanding of digital trends

Strong organizational skills; attention to detail

Strong communication skills and willingness to work in a team environment
