Job Title:VUI Designer
Location: Washington, D.C(Hybrid or remote work model subject to customer direction)
Project Duration: 10-12 months.

Role Summary
The VUI (Voice User Interface) Designer will support the design and optimization of IVR call flows, prompts, conversational experiences, and user interaction models within the Nuance Mix environment.
Key Responsibilities
Design conversational IVR workflows and voice interaction experiences
Develop prompts, utterance handling, and menu navigation logic
Collaborate with speech scientists and developers to optimize customer experience
Support bilingual English/Spanish IVR design requirements
Participate in testing and tuning activities
Maintain VUI documentation and design standards
Required Skills & Experience
Experience designing IVR or conversational voice experiences
Familiarity with Nuance Mix or similar conversational AI platforms
Understanding of speech recognition and customer interaction flows
Strong communication and UX design skills
Experience with enterprise contact center environments preferred
Preferred Qualifications
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
Experience with federal or regulated environments
