WordPress Developer: Website Rebuild & 1,000+ Profile Directory Migration

About Ring of Keys:

Ring of Keys is a national non-profit network for queer women, trans, and gender-nonconforming artists in musical theatre. Our member directory is a critical resource for representation in the theatre industry.

Project Overview:

We are seeking a developer/agency to rebuild our current website on WordPress. The most significant component of this project is the migration of our existing directory (1,000+ artist profiles) from DatoCMS into a scalable, user-friendly WordPress solution.

Key Scope of Work:

Data Migration: Clean and migrate 1,000+ member profiles (currently in DatoCMS) into WordPress.
Directory Functionality: Implement a robust front-end search with filters for location, race/ethnicity, and gender identity.
Member Portal: Build a secure login system where members can manage and update their own profiles (headshots, bios, links).
Site Rebuild: Develop ~10 core pages (Home, About, Resources, etc.) based on existing designs/branding.
Compliance: Ensure the site is mobile-responsive and WCAG 2.1 AA accessible.
Technical Requirements:

Experience with WordPress Custom Post Types (CPTs) or specialized Directory plugins.
Proven experience with data migration (JSON/API/CSV).
Knowledge of member management systems (e.g., MemberPress, Ultimate Member).

Budget:

$3,000 - $7,000 (Fixed Project Fee)

Target Kickoff:

June 1-15, 2026
