As a senior technical leader, the full-time Staff Gameplay Engineer will drive gameplay systems architecture for AtomEngine, providing technical direction and collaborating with cross-functional teams in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
Own and drive gameplay systems architecture, providing technical direction on complex problems
Collaborate with designers and PMs to shape features from concept through delivery, ensuring feasibility and performance
Mentor mid and junior engineers, investing in the team's growth and maintaining clear technical documentation
Required qualifications
7+ years of game engine or gameplay engineering experience, with demonstrated Staff or equivalent scope
Deep familiarity with game engines such as Godot, Unity, or Unreal
Experience shipping and supporting live service games at scale
Proven ability to architect complex gameplay systems and communicate technical decisions effectively
U.S. Citizenship required due to federal contract requirements
