Field Service Representative
We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our Field Services team and support the maintenance and repair of substation and utility electrical equipment.

Work Location & Shift

Shift: 1st shift 8:00 am – 5:00 pm (Mon‑Fri) Remote

Overtime: Yes

Compensation
Estimated hourly base pay: $58,960 – $73,700. Eligible for S&C’s annual short‑term incentive bonus subject to eligibility criteria.

Key Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, perform emergency repairs and preventative maintenance.

Modify and upgrade products.

Provide startup assistance and installation supervision.

Train on all S&C products of both current and past vintages.

Use various hand tools (personal property) and specialty tools (supplied by S&C) on equipment such as Circuit‑Switchers and Metal‑Enclosed Gear that is de‑energized and grounded.

Perform work in accordance with OSHA and industry safety practices such as Lock‑Out Tag‑Out and extensive personal protective equipment.

Job Requirements

Associate degree preferred, or equivalent technical experience.

Minimum age 21 with a valid driver’s license.

Ability to read mechanical drawings and possess excellent mechanical skills.

Ability to interpret electrical drawings and possess computer skills.

Willingness to travel up to 60% of the time (within region, including weekends and holidays).

Electrical substation maintenance and construction experience preferred.

Knowledge of utility electrical protection equipment preferred.

Preferred: 2+ years of mechanical assembly, electrical wiring, or maintenance of electrical utility equipment, facilities, or products.

Carrying: parts, tools, products.

Pushing: hand tools requiring force.

Pulling: frequent bending or crouching.

Handling: parts, tools, test equipment.

Environment: manufacturing, substations, indoor/outdoor facilities.
