Position Overview
Westlake Pharmacy is seeking a motivated, relationship‑driven Marketing & Provider Relations Specialist to help grow awareness and utilization of our pharmacy and compounding services throughout Utah and surrounding markets.
This is a front‑line field sales and relationship management role requiring regular in‑person visits with providers, clinics, and healthcare organizations. The ideal candidate enjoys building relationships face‑to‑face, developing new business opportunities, and helping grow a fast‑moving independent pharmacy and compounding practice.
This position will play a major role in supporting:
Compounding pharmacy growth
Provider relationship development
Weight loss and hormone clinic expansion
New product and service launches
Community outreach and brand awareness
The transition and promotion of our new pharmacy location
Compensation
Base salary up + performance‑based commission opportunities after generating $100,000 in new business revenue for the company.
Additional incentives may be available based on growth, provider retention, and relationship development.
Approved travel and business expenses reimbursed in accordance with company policy.
Primary Responsibilities
Provider & Clinic Relationship Development
Travel throughout assigned territories conducting in‑person provider visits.
Build and maintain strong relationships with physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, clinics, and healthcare organizations.
Serve as a professional and responsive point of contact for providers and office staff.
Help improve provider satisfaction, retention, and engagement.
Coordinate provider lunches, educational visits, and networking opportunities.
Sales & Business Development
Prospect and develop new provider and clinic relationships.
Identify opportunities to grow prescription volume and pharmacy utilization.
Assist with launching and promoting new compounded products and pharmacy services.
Present pharmacy capabilities, service offerings, and workflow advantages to providers.
Maintain and manage a pipeline of growth opportunities and follow‑up activities.
Marketing & Brand Development
Support social media, outreach, and marketing initiatives.
Assist with patient‑facing and provider‑facing marketing materials.
Help create awareness surrounding the pharmacy relocation and expansion.
Participate in conferences, events, sponsorships, and community engagement opportunities.
Help maintain a professional and consistent brand image.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain detailed CRM documentation of provider interactions, opportunities, and follow‑up activities.
Provide regular reporting on sales activity, provider engagement, and territory growth.
Communicate provider feedback internally to pharmacy leadership and operational teams.
Track marketing and business development efforts to help measure growth initiatives.
Compliance & Professionalism
Maintain familiarity with applicable pharmacy marketing regulations and compliance standards.
Avoid inappropriate medical, efficacy, or regulatory claims.
Represent the company professionally at all times.
Protect confidential patient and business information.
Qualifications
1–2+ years of outside or field sales experience preferred.
Strong relationship‑building and communication skills.
Comfortable with regular in‑person provider interaction and local travel.
Self‑motivated, organized, and capable of working independently.
Strong presentation and follow‑through skills.
Experience in healthcare, pharmacy, medical sales, or marketing preferred.
Knowledge of compounding pharmacy services preferred.
CRM and Microsoft Office experience preferred.
Pharmacy technician license preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, healthcare, communications, or related field preferred.
Must reside in Utah.

Position Expectations
