Position Overview The Upward Bound Project Director is responsible for the administration of the Chadron State College Upward Bound Program in accordance with federal guidelines and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Direct, plan, implement, and evaluate all Upward Bound program activities
- Establish UB program and component goals and objectives, and guide efforts of all staff in achieving goals and objectives
- Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and evaluate UB program staff
- Develop, implement, monitor, and revise budget
- Establish and maintain appropriate record keeping and accounting systems in accordance with Chadron State College and U.S. Department of Education guidelines
- Enhance relationship with target high schools to aid in recruiting and retention of eligible students
- Conduct bi‑weekly staff meetings, quarterly student meetings, and plan and coordinate staff orientation and training sessions
- Prepare written reports for state and federal requirements and assist with the grant proposal for continued funding
- Act as content manager for assigned websites
- Secondary Duties
- Attend and participate in college and high school activities
- Occasional travel
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
Master’s degree in Educational Administration, Curriculum and Instruction, Counseling, Student Personnel, or related field.
Experience in administration of programs serving the educationally or economically disadvantaged.
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum of five years experience with staff supervision.

- Satisfactory evaluation of driving record
Salary & Benefits
Base salary up to $61,625.
