UX/UI Design Support
This role supports the Battlespace Division by providing User Experience and User Interface (UX/UI) design support in developing the digital interface for the users of an advanced synthetic training environment software product. This software is integrated into flight simulators to support pilot training against potential threats. Primary duties include:
Utilize UX principles and research methods to guide software interface design
Conduct use case analysis, UX design, implementation, and testing
Design Graphical User Interfaces, icons, graphical elements, navigation, data formatting and display, automation scripts, and component interfacing
Work in small teams in an Agile environment and contribute with other teams to a large codebase of shared libraries and applications.
Collaborate closely with Subject Matter Experts to create software solutions tailored to warfighter simulation needs.
Conduct usability studies and user analysis to define user requirements
Location: Fully Remote with quarterly meetings at the Government facility in California, MD or Patuxent River, MD. Skills and Qualifications:
Demonstrable UI design skills with a strong portfolio
Solid experience in creating storyboards, user flows, and UI prototypes
Knowledge of Agile and Scrum software development processes
Familiarity with UX/UI trends, standards, and best practices, as well as Adobe Creative Suite, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and comparable languages
Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Web Development, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering and 10+ years of experience with user interface design and development. Clearance: This position is subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. This position requires the ability to obtain an Active Secret Security Clearance. Compensation and Benefits: Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements.
