Digital Organizing Fellow

Planned Parenthood Great Plains has provided access to sexual and reproductive health care since 1935. The Digital Organizing Fellow will be responsible for digital engagement efforts to educate, empower, and mobilize supporters to take action in support of PPGP's and PPGPV's missions.

Fixed-term position concluding August 31. Candidates interested in full- or part-time work are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

Participate in planning meetings, trainings, and alignment calls to stay connected to campaign priorities and organizational goals.

Support day-to-day digital engagement across social media platforms, including monitoring comments, responding to direct messages with guidance from PPGP communications staff, engaging supporters in real time, and representing the organization professionally to maintain a consistent, values-aligned online presence.

Draft proposals for and support paid digital advertising efforts across platforms (including Meta), including audience targeting, campaign setup, creative coordination, budget pacing, and performance monitoring, while optimizing ads based on data insights to drive engagement, recruitment, and campaign goals.

Coordinate and create advocacy content for digital platforms, including drafting short-form video scripts, contributing to content ideation, and appearing on camera when needed, while integrating relevant social media trends and formats to strengthen digital organizing strategies.

Collaborate with internal teams and staff to develop and engage storytellers, ensure alignment with organizational policies, brand standards, and compliance requirements, and support cross-departmental digital efforts.

Promote volunteer opportunities and drive recruitment across digital platforms, online communities, and volunteer sites, while identifying and engaging with aligned online communities to expand reach, visibility, and trust.

Track, monitor, and maintain digital engagement data and systems, including supporter growth, content performance, participation trends, source codes, and link tracking to ensure accurate attribution, strong data integrity, and ongoing optimization of digital efforts.

Maintain accurate records of supporter interactions, engagement, and recruitment outcomes for reporting and evaluation purposes.

Regular evening and weekend work is required.

Experience and Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university, one to three years of related experience and/or training in advocacy/organizing work or related area; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

Experience with Microsoft Office, internet navigation and research, and relational databases.

Commitment to PPGP's and PPGPV's missions, purposes, and values.

Driven, motivated, a self-starter, and able to work productively and effectively with sometimes minimal and remote supervision.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Multi-disciplinary thinker with strong analytical skills and the ability to understand new concepts; to translate PPGP's mission and work to diverse constituencies; and to solve complex problems.

Reliable transportation.

Knowledge of issues related to abortion access.

Experience with Canva and Adobe Creative Suite preferred.

Prior social media management experience.

Compensation
$22.60 per hour

37.5 hour full time work week
