Director / Managing Director – Biotechnology/Pharma

Outcome Capital is seeking an exceptional candidate to join as a Vice President to help its growing Biotechnology practice. This person will be responsible for following the progress of public/private Biotechnology companies, managing the deal team assigned to both potential and current clients and be responsible for deal origination and collaborating with and guiding the analyst and associate staff. In addition to a background in the life sciences, the ideal candidate will have core competence in equity research and financial modeling, specifically in the Healthcare and Biotechnology sectors. The position is located in Boston.
Specific Responsibilities Include

Provide fundamental analysis and investment research in specific Biotech markets with an emphasis on original, bottom-up research as well as developing a “top down” approach to evaluation of client potential
Analyze individual Biotechnology or Pharmaceutical companies to build and update fully integrated financial and valuation models; support staff will assist
Write research reports and present findings
Organize physician calls for potential investors and or potential Buyers
Interact with clients
Respond to client and internal inquiries regarding all ongoing deal management
Skills & Experience Required

Graduate scientific or medical degree required (PhD, MD)
> 5 years of life-sciences industry experience including business development or other management roles, equity research, management consulting, market research
Transactional experience is either a corporate business development or investment banking
Familiarity and knowledge of the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries including clinical development, regulatory affairs, business development and commercialization
Ability to search, understand and interpret scientific and medical publications and presentations
Exceptional verbal and writing skills, including the ability to succinctly and clearly articulate complex information
Strong communication skills and a personal style conducive to building relationships and teamwork
Strong quantitative skills and general understanding of statistical analysis techniques
Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast- paced, deadline-driven environment with a proven commitment to turning in consistently high-quality work as a self- starter
