Role Overview
As a PR Director at BPM-PR Firm, you will shape our clients' brand narratives, secure media placements, and foster meaningful relationships with key stakeholders. Reporting directly to the Vice President, you will lead a team of passionate professionals, develop strategic PR campaigns, and ensure the successful execution of client initiatives. You will oversee the PR team hub, drive collaboration, and facilitate event strategy, conceptualization, and creation. You will also conduct media outreach to secure high‑level placements and build new relationships to expand our reach and influence in the industry. Responsibilities

Strategic Planning:

Develop comprehensive PR strategies tailored to each client's unique objectives, leveraging market insights and industry trends.

Media Relations:

Cultivate and maintain strong media contacts, pitching event stories and securing press coverage.

Content Creation:

Produce compelling event‑related content, including press releases, pitch letters, media kits, and promotional materials.

Media Pitching:

Lead strategic outreach for clients’ products, services, and events, identifying relevant journalists and crafting personalized pitches.

Team Leadership, Training & Development:

Mentor and support a talented PR team, fostering a collaborative high‑performing environment.

Client Reports:

Prepare regular reports with insights and analysis on campaign performance.

Client Meetings:

Participate in client meetings to discuss strategy, progress, and future plans.

Desk Sides:

Conduct video and in‑person desk sides to strengthen relationships and uncover opportunities for additional PR support.

Outreach and Networking:

Build new relationships and network with colleagues, clients, and the media.

Sample Management:

Oversee coordination and distribution of client products for media coverage.

Hub Management:

Manage the PR team hub, ensuring alignment with client objectives and efficient workflow.

Online Research:

Gather insights and trends to inform media strategy and campaigns.

Campaign Management:

Execute end‑to‑end PR campaigns for products, services, and events within budget and on schedule.

Productivity Tracking:

Implement systems to monitor team performance and support optimization.

Measurement and Analysis:

Monitor media coverage, event attendance, and key metrics to derive actionable insights.

Industry Engagement:

Represent BPM‑PR Firm at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.

Event Strategy:

Direct event strategies aligned with client goals, driving engagement and brand awareness.

Event Conceptualization:

Ideate creative event themes that align with client messaging.

Event Creation:

Oversee full event production, from planning and logistics to on‑site coordination and post‑event evaluation.

Prescreening Potential Candidates:

Participate in prescreening HR candidates for the PR Director role.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or Journalism.

7+ years of extensive, hands‑on experience in PR and corporate communications.

Demonstrable record of solid media contacts and relationships.

Portfolio of placements in print, broadcast, and online media.

Previous experience managing a mid‑sized team of employees.

Strong understanding of the media landscape and story types that resonate.

Experience with business and technology/industry press.

Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Workspace & media databases.

Strong listening, creative thinking, influencing, and relationship‑building skills.

Fast‑paced and self‑motivated working style.

Team‑oriented with a collaborative approach.

Ability to work independently, prioritize workload, and display high‑level organization.

Previous agency experience is required.
