We’re founded by startup entrepreneurs and seasoned operators across retail, tech, and platform businesses, and we’re heading into a critical go-to-market and scale-up phase from May to December.
The Role
As a Digital Marketing & Growth Intern, you’ll be part of the team shaping how ShopNJoy shows up in the market—from content and campaigns to merchant-facing materials and platform experiences. This is not a “sit in meetings and take notes” internship. Your work will go live, be seen, and actually be used.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing & Launch Support
Jump in as we gear up for launch—helping execute marketing and communications activities as ShopNJoy prepares for market entry and merchant onboarding.
Help bring our story to life for merchants.
Support the creation of sales decks, one-pagers, FAQs, and collaterals
Turn platform features into clear, persuasive, and easy-to-understand stories
Get involved in merchant-facing moments where marketing meets real conversations
Content & Communications
Create content that people actually see and engage with.
Support creation of digital content such as social posts, in-app messaging, and campaign copy
Adapt messaging for different channels (platform, merchants, internal, social media)
Pitch ideas for content that’s clear, engaging, and on-brand (yes, your ideas matter here)
Creative & Asset Support
Bring ideas to life visually.
Create visuals using Canva and support asset production
Help keep things looking consistent (and good) across different touchpoints
Understand Marketing in a Live Platform
Observe how users interact with content and features across the platform
Share feedback on what feels clear, confusing, or could be improved
Learn how messaging influences user behaviour and overall experience
Suggest small tweaks that could make things smoother, clearer, or more effective
(No need to be a UX expert—we’re looking for curiosity and common sense.)
Growth & Digital Marketing Exposure
Get a taste of what growth marketing actually looks like in a startup.
Support basic campaign execution across social and digital platforms
See what works, what doesn’t—and why
Contribute ideas for small experiments and improvements
Stakeholder Coordination
Work across teams and see how everything connects.
Collaborate with marketing, sales, product, and operations
Experience what it’s like working in a fast-moving startup where everyone builds together
What We’re Looking For
Curious about marketing, content, and how digital platforms grow
Interested in how things go from idea → execution → real-world impact
Comfortable with tools like Canva, MS365, Notion (or willing to learn fast)
Keen to explore AI tools and modern digital workflows
Not afraid to share ideas, ask questions, and try things out
