Job Description
Global Financial Crimes Compliance (GFCC) is an organization within Global Risk & Compliance (GRC) and is responsible for leading the enterprise-wide Anti-Money Laundering, Sanctions, and Anti-Corruption compliance functions. This team has global responsibility for identifying, investigating, and reporting suspicious activity, including money laundering and terrorist financing, and provides broad analytical and operational support for the company’s enterprise-wide GFCC control framework.
Responsibilities
The newly created second line GFCC Enablement organization will lead and synchronize the execution of GFCC strategic and transformational program development initiatives, including technology, data, and tools. The Director of GFCC Strategy and Governance will lead data transformation efforts across GFCC ensuring our efforts are synchronized, consistent, and transparent across all GFCC verticals. In addition, this role in collaboration with GRC product, GRC Data science and Enterprise technology will drive data strategy to support GFCC objectives including strong data governance and data risk management in accordance with the enterprise policies. This role will be responsible for the Issue management framework for GFCC and will serve as the primary conduit between GFCC leadership and partner organizations for data requirements, ensuring coordinated engagement across all stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Data Strategy , Data tooling : Collaborate with GRC products, GRC Data Science and Enterprise technology to drive GFCC Data strategy to ensure accurate, complete and timely data availability to support GFCC mandates. Define and advocate for future‑proof data requirements to support dynamic risk modelling and compliance/regulatory needs. Evaluate and prioritize requirements/roadmap for Data management tools.
Data Governance : Establishes and enforces GFCC data governance policies, standards, and procedures, ensuring coordinated and consistent execution across all stakeholder groups. This includes maintaining GFCC Data Governance standards, an accurate inventory of GFCC‑related data elements, guiding the evolution of the GFCC data ecosystem in close collaboration with GFCC leadership, GRC Product, GRC Data Science, AET Engineering, and Enterprise Data Governance to enable high‑quality, well‑governed, and regulatory‑aligned data capabilities.
Issue Management : Coordinating with the Data office, Data Stewards, Data Custodians and Business Process Owners to track remediation for any data quality issues identified for data elements that serve as inputs to GFCC systems and processes, GFCC risk assessments, KRI/KPI metrics & reporting.
Automation and Efficiency improvements : Drive continuous improvement through Automation/AI use cases to improve efficiency, accuracy and throughput.
Collaboration : Partners closely with GFCC leadership, GRC Product, GRC Data Science, AET Engineering, and other key stakeholders to ensure coordinated, transparent, and well‑governed execution across all GFCC technology, tools, and data initiatives.
Thought Leadership : Provide thought leadership to GFCC leaders and partners as it relates to technology, tools, and data, complimenting their perspectives with an appropriate level of credible challenge to ensure aligned outcomes with the overall GFCC.
Qualifications
Prior experience driving enterprise transformation, project management, and technology roles demonstrating a strong understanding of technology, tools, and data in both operational and risk management environments.
7-10 years of relevant work experience in Financial Crimes processes including AML, Sanctions, Customer Risk Rating, Anti Bribery & Corruption.
Strong working knowledge of current and upcoming data governance, data management and data product techniques and trends, with a point of view on the evolving concepts and standard methodologies.
Strong Experience in leading Data strategy & Data Platform and Governance initiatives in a large enterprise including familiarity with tools and processes for data quality management.
Extensive experience with agile methodologies, product lifecycle management, and associated program and project management governance tools (e.g., 3iB, JIRA, BRDs, PRDs, User Stories).
Demonstrated self‑starter with the ability to identify opportunities out of white space, define a strategic vision, and drive results with a high degree of independence.
Proven ability to think strategically and lead and oversee large‑scale, cross‑functional strategic initiatives.
History of high performance with demonstrated adaptability to excel in a fast‑paced environment, adjust to shifting priorities, and manage others through change.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to interact and obtain.
Ability to maintain a positive attitude in the face of challenges.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in implementing/using AI driven automation in data management.
