Theatre's 2026-27 season show "La Cage Aux Folles" needs Equity actors. Additional details can be found below.

Rate: LORT Non-Rep $1320 weekly minimum (LORT B+)

Audition day break: 1:00PM - 2:00PM

PREPARATION: Please bring a picture and resume and a selection(s) in the style of the show, you are welcome to sing from the show/shows, or perform a monologue from show/shows. Directors would prefer two different short selections, to one long selection. Let them meet more sides of you. An Equity Monitor will not be provided. The producer will run all aspects of this audition.

GEORGES — Male, 50-59 y.o., All ethnicities: A star; mature and attractive; good singer; energetic, loving and caring; must move well. (Range: G2-F4).

JEAN-MICHEL — Male, 18-22 y.o., All ethnicities: 20 y.o. Handsome; brunette; masculine, well-mannered, educated; desperately in love with his fiancee, Anne; acts, sings, and moves well. (Range: Baritone, A#2-G4).

JACOB — Male, 20-24 y.o., All ethnicities: Male butler/maid; brilliant comedian who sings and moves well. (Range: Bb2-Ab4).

ANNE — Female, 18-21 y.o., All ethnicities: Jean-Michel’s fiancee; lovely to look at; spunky; a superb dancer.

EDOUARD DINDON — Male, 50-54 y.o., All ethnicities: Anne’s father; right-wing radical politician; pompous; quirky; must sing, move well, and be a fine comedian. (Range: Bb2-Eb4).

MARIE DINDON — Female, 46-49 y.o., All ethnicities: Anne’s mother, shy, retiring, sexually repressed and sex-starved; good singer who moves well; must look great in a leotard for the finale. (Range: F4-A5).

JACQUELINE — Female, 45-96 y.o., All ethnicities: Middle Age, Mature, female friend of Georges and Albin; owns a chic restaurant; attractive, charming; very theatrical; not necessarily a singer. (Range: B3-F5).

RENAUD — Male, 45-96 y.o., All ethnicities: Middle Age, Mature, male friend of Georges and Albin; owns a small cafe; understudies both of the 2 leads.

FRANCIS — Male, 40-49 y.o., All ethnicities: Stage manager in Georges’ club; strong dancer.
