$165,000.00/Yr. - $225,000.00/Yr. Actual starting pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, skills, specialty, and education.

Eligible for an Annual Discretionary Cash Bonus Target: 40%

Eligible for an Annual Discretionary Restricted Stock Units Bonus Target: 40%

These discretionary target bonuses may be awarded semi-annually based upon your achievement of performance goals and targets.

About This Job
The First Vice President (FVP), Relationship Manager – Venture Banking at Axos Bank is responsible for originating and managing relationships with venture‑backed companies, founders, and venture capital firms nationwide. This role focuses on building profitable, deposit‑led relationships while delivering customized credit and treasury solutions to high‑growth businesses, leveraging Axos’ digital‑first platform and entrepreneurial culture.

Responsibilities

Originating and managing a portfolio of venture‑backed and emerging growth companies

Developing referral relationships with venture capital firms, accelerators, and founders

Serving as the primary relationship manager with a consultative, high‑touch approach

Structuring and delivering banking solutions including deposits, treasury management, and credit facilities

Partnering closely with Credit, Underwriting, Treasury Management, Risk, and Operations

Managing portfolio performance, renewals, credit quality, and ongoing client needs

Driving deposit growth and fee income in alignment with Axos’ balance sheet strategy

Advising clients on cash management, liquidity planning, and banking strategy as they scale

Ensuring compliance with Axos’ credit standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field (MBA preferred)

8+ years of experience in venture banking, emerging growth, or commercial banking

Proven success in business development and relationship management within the venture ecosystem

Strong understanding of venture capital, startup operating models, and funding cycles

Solid credit acumen and financial analysis skills

Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, performance‑driven environment
