Job Summary
The ideal candidate for the Strings & Orchestra Program Coordinator position is an experienced and collaborative music educator with expertise in strings and orchestral instruction, conducting, and student mentorship. Candidates should possess strong knowledge of instrumental pedagogy, rehearsal techniques, and the artistic and developmental needs of middle and high school musicians, as well as experience leading string and orchestral ensembles and preparing students for high-level performances. Active professional engagement as a performer and/or conductor, as well as familiarity with current trends in music education and the music industry, is highly valued. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong organizational, communication, and administrative skills, with the ability to coordinate performances, auditions, events, and student activities while supporting the daily operations of a fast‑paced conservatory environment. The ideal candidate is student‑centered, detail‑oriented, technologically proficient, and committed to fostering a positive, inclusive, and artistically rigorous conservatory culture while contributing to the continued growth and success of the Strings & Orchestra Program and Instrumental Music Conservatory.

Resume and Letter of Introduction addressed to Dr. John Reynolds, Senior Director of Instrumental Music; Two letters of reference.
Comments and Other Information
No credential is necessary at the time of applying. However, the selected candidate will be required to obtain a Preliminary Career Technical Education (CTE) credential during the onboarding process, before the start of their assignment, and a Clear CTE credential within three years.
