Position Summary
The employee will work remotely from the Northern California area while primarily supporting the Eastern region of the U.S., traveling by flight or car to other locations as needed. Responsibilities include on‑site installation and support of Securitas Healthcare products in long‑term care facilities, installing low‑voltage systems, troubleshooting network connectivity and software configuration, and providing training to end‑users.
Essential Job Functions
Represent and support the Company in the field through pre‑sale site surveys, equipment installations, repair or replacement, and customer training, following Company schedules, procedures, and standards.
Install, configure, and commission new systems by following company procedures and processes.
Perform service work at customer sites including troubleshooting, repair, or replacement of customer equipment.
Visit facilities to perform preventative maintenance by inspecting installed equipment and making repairs as needed.
Complete facility site surveys to determine the suitability of installing products manufactured and/or sold by the Company.
Provide training to facility personnel on the correct operation and maintenance of installed equipment.
Perform administrative duties such as writing facility visit reports, completing service or post‑installation checklists, creating and submitting expense reports, and maintaining accurate inventory of equipment and parts on a company vehicle.
Attend construction meetings when needed to help ensure that installations that are part of a new construction or renovation project proceed as planned.
Participate in an on‑call rotation to cover emergency repairs on weekends or holidays.
Engage with customers and colleagues to deliver strong customer service, ensuring customer satisfaction after each project.
Use time‑management skills to arrive at sites on schedule and complete all work within the allotted project time.
Apply basic PC system configuration or troubleshooting skills.
Use hand tools and operate basic handheld power tools.
Work alone when necessary and maintain communication with the office as scheduling requirements change.
Lift up to 75 pounds in some instances.
Climb and stand on ladders for extended periods of time.
Stand in and crawl through tight spaces occasionally under extreme temperatures (e.g., attics, crawl spaces, utility access). Crawl space access may be as small as 16”.
Travel extensively, including overnight travel, on a regular basis (up to 100% of the time).

Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED.
Valid Driver’s License with no restrictions.
A foundational understanding of low‑voltage systems as evidenced by one of the following:
Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree in Electrical Technology, Electronics, Industrial Electronics, or a closely related field.
Completion of a post‑secondary Vocational Certificate program for Low Voltage Technician/Specialist or Structured Cabling.
Recent completion of a related formal apprenticeship program (e.g., IBEW Low Voltage/Limited Energy).
Demonstrated knowledge of circuits, relays, and system installation procedures (via coursework, capstone project, or minimal six months of hands‑on experience).
Ability to obtain the required state licensing needed to successfully perform the role (e.g., Security System Technician licensing).
To Excel
Hold VA DCJS license and MD Security Systems Technician license.
An associate degree in Electronics or a related field.
Experience in wiring, cabling, and/or security or access control system installation.
Field service experience traveling to multiple customer job sites.
Some experience in customer training preferred.
Experience supporting or installing systems that use radio technology.
Experience with data networking.
