About the Role
Medtronic’s Disease Area – ENT offers innovative solutions for the Ear, Nose, and Throat community. The District Sales Manager, ENT is a field‑based position that requires the employee to reside in the territory, drive to multiple accounts, and maintain a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement strategies to achieve short and long‑term business objectives.

Utilize field visits, meetings, and telephone contacts to engage customers.

Train and develop employees in sales skills, product knowledge, teamwork, time and territory management, competitive knowledge, and career goals.

Coordinate sales efforts and communicate corporate, divisional, regional and/or district mission, goals, and activities.

Direct and motivate personnel to achieve unit and revenue goals.

Provide ongoing feedback, coaching and schedule performance reviews.

Implement corrective actions when necessary.

Assist employees with individual development plans (IDPs).

Apply customer focused quality (CFQ) concepts.

Manage district assets, budgets and forecasts and ensure efficient use of inventory and expenses.

Negotiate and resolve price and contract issues with sales reps, accounts, regional management and home office personnel.

Coordinate efforts with sales reps and managers of other product lines to diversify and maximize overall Medtronic teamwork results.

Develop ethical, long‑term customer relationships and represent Medtronic management to customers.

Recruit and interview candidates to maintain a strong personnel “bench,” hire top candidates for open positions and meet workplace diversity goals.

Provide feedback of marketing intelligence to sales and marketing management.

Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications
Must Have:

Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant sales experience.

OR advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant sales and leadership experience.

Nice to Have:

Successful medical sales record, preferably with RTG products.

Experience with sales and personnel management functions.

Knowledge of RTG assigned product/therapy customer base.

Additional experience in marketing, training, technical services or related areas.

Other Job Requirements

Regularly required to be independently mobile.

Interact with a computer for extended periods and communicate with peers and co‑workers.

Perform computer based work for extended periods.

Must be able to lift 20 lbs, hear, see and speak fluently, travel extensively by car and plane, sit, stand 8 hours/day.

Must be able to operate a moving vehicle and wear lead apron for long periods.

Must be able to work in OR and/or Hospital Labs with radiation exposure.

Must be able to conduct company business outside typical Monday‑Friday hours.

Must have a valid driver’s license and active vehicle insurance policy.

Benefits & Compensation
Salary range for U.S. (excl. PR) locations: $145,000 – $145,000. Eligible for an annual long‑term incentive plan and a Sales Incentive Plan (SIP).
