Acoustic Measurement Engineer (Multiple Openings)
Responsibilities
As part of the acoustic design and development team, work in different phases of product development to create the best possible user experience from an audio perspective. Conduct frequency, distortion, impedance, and polar measurements; evaluate results for product benchmarking; and measure electronics for distortion and transfer functions. Create, follow, and categorize testing procedure data, publish a searchable database for benchmarking measurement data written in Python, and prototype and evaluate new audio technologies. Analyze and draw conclusions based on test results and measurements, characterize acoustic and mechanical transfer, create a web‑based searchable database for benchmarking measurement data, and track laboratory inventory to stock cables, tools, and test equipment. Validate through acoustic measurements and user studies to drive product specifications and support feature implementation, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams including software, hardware integration, and user interaction.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor – Acoustics, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, Sound and Image Engineering or a related technical field of study; equivalent foreign degree accepted
Experience: Two (2) years in a similar position, Acoustics Engineer or related engineering role
Experience must include:
Audio Precision, Listen including Soundcheck, Klippel (KA3, SCN, and NFS), BK HATS, oscilloscope, and multimeters
High Level programming language including MATLAB, Python, and Max
Audio and Acoustics hardware testing
Compensation
The annual salary range for this role is $148,200.00 to $153,840.00 per year. The annual salary depends upon various job‑related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs, and market demand.
