Join a company where your contributions help move the world forward—one shipment at a time.About the PositionThe Sr Application Developer provides system analysis, design, and development of RPG IV programs in an IBM i / iSeries environment utilizing DB2 databases. Provide Tier 2 technical support and troubleshooting assistance requiring debugging of code and data management. Some Travel required.FunctionsDesign and develop RPG code for custom WMS (Warehouse Management System) as directed by Sr. Solutions Architect and / or Sr. Systems AnalystDebug code for RPG programs for custom applications as directed by Sr. Solutions Architect and / or Sr. Systems AnalystDevelop database structure for RPG programs for custom applications per design standards provided by DBA and Sr. Solutions ArchitectUtilize SQL as needed for query and reporting functionalityLearn Change Management Solution and take on a primary change management role.Support Help Desk team as Tier 2 responderQualificationsMinimum 5 years of programming experience utilizing RPG IV, to include Free Format and Embedded SQL in a business environmentExperience with bar coding software, label software, RF system design and programmingPreferably to have experience with ILE concepts (sub-procedures, binding methodologies, and service programs)Vast knowledge of IBM iSeries / IBM i includingCommand line functions,Programming languages including RPG IV, DDS, and CL.Preferable to have experience with IBM Rational Developer for i (RDi / a.k.a.
