A wild child who has never ventured from his house. Forced to live in a world of illiteracy and innocence; child-like; seemingly simple-minded and withdrawn; idolizes his brother, Treat, and is positive his brother knows best...until. (An extremely physical role.)

Characters

  • TREAT Male 30-40 y.o. All ethnicities
A pick pocket and thief, violent, suppressed emotion; both caretaker and provider for his brother; makes the house almost a prison for his brother. Haunted by abandonment and surrounded by anger. Possibly bulking up to become physically intimidating.
  • HAROLD Male 50-60 y.o. All ethnicities
A commanding presence, able to handle any situation with ease. A Chicago gangster on the run, taken hostage by the brothers who mysteriously frees himself and takes control of the situation. Recognizing the brothers for lost boys (orphans, just like himself at one time), he “adopts” and mentors them, becoming their long-lost father figure. In a strange, both menacing and moving way, the man turns the brothers’ lives upside down, with positive and tragic consequences.
