AI Editor, Alexa for Shopping Content and Marketing Experiences

Overview
Amazon is seeking an AI Editor passionate about technology, innovation, and the customer experience. This role is part of the high‑performing Alexa for Shopping team, a generative AI‑powered shopping assistant that helps customers research, compare, and discover products.

Key Responsibilities

Translate complex content policies into prompts that LLMs can easily understand, ensuring alignment with business priorities.

Develop and utilize novel prompting approaches for feature development and defect reduction.

Create high‑quality alignment data to train LLMs in shopping‑specific use cases.

Identify potential biases or limitations in the LLMs responses and employ fine‑tuning techniques to improve the model.

Become a subject matter expert across sensitive topics and policies, including areas ranging from environmental and medical claims to sexual content and profanity.

Collaborate with Product, Science, and Design teams to evaluate CX metrics, develop scalable reporting systems, and drive continual model improvements.

Develop and implement strategies to train and improve Amazon’s Shopping LLM.

Manage the Editorial team, working with product managers, writers, editors, and language engineers.

Basic Qualifications

5+ years of editor, content strategist, technical writer, or content developer experience.

Experience with human‑in‑the‑loop AI evaluation, prompt engineering, or AI model quality assessment.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience leading cross‑functional teams to deliver products and projects on tight deadlines.

Experience in content creation or copy editing, including online publishing.

Experience working in fast‑paced environments, managing workload even during times of stress or escalated activity.

Base salary ranges are listed below. See Amazon for benefits.

USA, NY, New York – $78,700.00 – $137,700.00 USD annually

USA, WA, Seattle – $80,200.00 – $125,200.00 USD annually
