The Account Executive (AE) collaborates closely with account leads to support and execute strategic, results-driven PR campaigns across multiple LBPR clients. A successful AE is a proactive communicator, exceptional writer, creative thinker, and trusted resource for both the internal team and externally for clients — someone who takes ownership, brings ideas, and is culturally tapped in.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Media Relations
Concept and execute creative, targeted pitches aligned with account goals across local, regional, and national markets
Build and maintain relationships with media and influencers through regular 1:1 outreach
Write and review press releases, media advisories, pitches, and supporting materials
Organize and host press trips and media events; monitor and manage editorial calendars
Account & Client Management
Hold a primary role in creative brainstorming, pitch development, and strategic ideation
Take ownership of client agendas and reports; position LBPR's work clearly and confidently
Lead portions of client calls; serve as a proactive day-to-day resource for client needs
Work with your supervisor to manage workflow, ensuring clients feel supported and the work is delivered in a timely manner
Mentor and guide Account Coordinators and interns; delegate meaningfully to support their development
Uphold quality standards, manage up to supervisors on deadlines, and maintain a professional, client-ready presence
Business Development
Assist with new business research, ideation, and deck development
Monitor industry news for leads; support case studies and award submissions
QUALIFICATIONS
2+ years of experience in a PR agency or communications role
Strong writing and pitching skills — press releases, story angles, targeted strategies
Excellent organizational and project management abilities; comfortable juggling multiple tasks on multiple accounts
Proactive, detail-oriented, and solutions-driven with a track record of managing up and down
Familiarity with digital platforms and social media; comfortable contributing to digital strategy
Superior written and verbal communication; strong proofreading and editing ability
